Frankie & Jo's is a plant based, dairy free, vegan and GMO free icecream. They have a Capitol Hill location and lucky me they just opened on Friday in Ballard! For my lunch break I decided to head over there to check it out.
The whole scoop shop is an Instagrammers dream. I can already see the cactus wall going to be all over people's Instagram feeds. The outdoor space is a perfect hangout spot, the glassed in area has chairs and plants.
I felt a little sticker shock at the prices, a pint goes for $13, but when I tasted the icecream deliciousness I had to restrain myself from running back there. I tried the Chocolate Mint Brownie and the seasonal Molten Chocolate Cake.
The Chocolate Mint Brownie is creamy and has little crunchy brownie bits along with whole chunks of brownie. So delicious!
The Molten Chocolate Cake is dark chocolate goodness with chunks of cake and flecks of chocolate. It's so creamy that you can't resist going back for another bite.
I can't wait to hang out at this icecream place again, rain or shine!
